Manchester field conditions
2/12/09

Michigan Team-1 members:

Prefect Ken Zeuner has asked me to send to the membership an email concerning conditions at the Manchester launch field.

Dianne Du Russel spoke with Ken yesterday and advised him the potato farm is a "sea of mud" due to recent rain and snow melt. This coming weekend, the low temperatures will dip well below freezing. It may be possible to fly rockets on Sunday morning before the temperature exceeds 32 degrees. Most likely, the Prefect will call a halt to flight operations by 1:00 PM to avoid damage to the fields and, especially, the access road.

Please keep in focus that we have an important obligation to protect our relationship with landowners who allow us to fly from their land.

We strongly recommend that you closely monitor the Team-1 web site (www.team1.org) before leaving for the launch. Ken Zeuner's cell number is 248-348-2348, call him if you have any doubts about whether the launch will occur.
