2008 Fall Three Oaks -- another preliminary report from Avery Road
11/19/08

Michigan Team-1 members:

Sunday was better. The temperature was lower - in the 30's - but at least it wasn't raining and sleeting. Occasional bits of snow, that's it. Significant wind, usually out of the west. Occasional patches of blue sky and brief flashes of sunshine, too.

Many more flights this day, including some J motors. Attendance was still low for a Three Oaks event, but that's to be expected under flying conditions like this.

I've attached three pictures as JPEG files. #002 was taken on Saturday 11/15/08. Note the rain on the glass of Ken Zeuner's Great White Whale pickup truck. That's Wayne Dennis in the red coat. Note that Ken is the one inside the warm, dry pickup with a hot cup of coffee in his hand; pretty smart, that must be why he's the Prefect.
