Children, safety, and rockets
11/06/08

Michigan Team-1 members:

Prefect Ken Zeuner asked me to broadcast an email to the membership regarding children & safety at the upcoming Three Oaks launch event.

Like many hobbies and sports, hobby rocketry is an inherently dangerous activity. At an event like this, children often get excited and active. It is the responsibility of parents & legal guardians of children to properly control their children.

A high power rocket launch event is not a benign event where kids can be allowed to roam free and do whatever they want.

Parent/guardians are expected to maintain close control over the behavior and activity of their kids.

If a parent/guardian cannot, or will not, properly control their children, they will be asked to leave.
